at
New Yorkęs Cipriani 42nd Street.
The
eveningęs affair,
which raised over $1million dollars,
was emceed by
Peter Sagal,
host of NPRęs wildly popular news
quiz,
WAIT, WAIT DONęT TELL ME.
Sagal
was joined by NPR
newscaster and
Wait, Wait
scorekeeper,
Carl Kassell
presented a live version of the show.
Wait, Wait
regulars
Paula Poundstone,
Mo Rocca, Roxanne Roberts brought
their hallmark humor and smarts to the stage.
Guests had the opportunity to mingle with their
favorite WNYC hosts, including
Brian Lehrer,
Leonard Lopate, Kurt Andersen, Jad Abumrad (Radio
Lab),
John Schaefer
(Soundcheck,
New Sounds), Brooke Gladstone (On
the Media), and Soterios Johnson (Morning
Edition),
among others.
